From Ibiza to Independence
I’m happily married to my lovely wife Sylvia, and we now live in southern Spain with our two crazy dogs, who we love to bits.
These days, we live mortgage-free and enjoy a slower, more intentional life. One of our greatest joys is exploring in our camper van, we’re completely obsessed with everything to do with motorhomes!
Originally from the UK, we moved to Ibiza in 2000 and spent 20 years running a concierge business. Renting luxury villas, chartering boats, and organising VIP transport. It was an exciting time, but also non-stop. Long days, late nights, and being on call 24/7 took their toll.
After two decades of hustle, we knew it was time for a change.
A Wake up Call
In 2020, life threw me a serious curveball. I was diagnosed with throat cancer.
Recovery was tough. The operation was challenging, but the radiotherapy was the hardest part. I couldn’t eat properly for months. But thanks to an early diagnosis and the incredible care of the Spanish Health Service, I pulled through and 18 months later, I got the all-clear.
As a keen cyclist and triathlete, getting back to full fitness has been a gift. Now, I can train every day, on my own terms. My health is better than I can remember and I don’t take a single day for granted.
Freedom Shift
What I value most now is freedom, time to live, train, travel, and be fully present for life’s moments.I’ve missed too many big things in the past: birthdays, weddings… I even missed Istanbul 2005 that Champions League Final because of work.
That’s not happening anymore.
Now, I run an online business that works in the background while I live life fully out front.
